Science Fair - Next Wednesday

We are in the home stretch for Science Fair projects, I am very excited to see what you have accomplished.

Based on the rough drafts of your research papers, there will be a wide variety of amazing experiments and demonstrations on Wednesday.

Remember, you are showing yourself at your best during the science fair, please wear your best uniform and be on your best behavior during the event.

Please proof read your displays and be sure all of your materials are ready before you go to bed on Tuesday.

And, especially, make sure to thank your Mom and Dad for helping you with this project.

Crash the Turtle has a new home

Thanks to a sale on reptile habitats at PetSmart this weekend I was able to purchase a new and larger habitat for our turtle Crash.

He moved into his new home today, along with the two surviving minnows from the 30 feeder minnows that we put in last October.

All are settling well.

The old habitat will be cleaned and used for science projects or ....maybe some fish.

Science Fair Update

It is getting close to the due date for your Science Fair projects (April 10th), please remember to check the rubric that I handed out in class, it is also posted on the right hand sidebar of this blog.

Some folks will be taking data during the Science Fair as part of their project.  When finishing up your papers, please state that this will happen and you will add the new data into your final conclusion by the Friday after the Science Fair (April 19th)

8th Graders, you will have time for additional test runs of your contraption during the Science Fair and your final papers will be due the Wednesday after the April vacation (May 1).

I am very excited to see all of your projects, from what you have turned in so far, you all have some interesting experiments and results to present.
