After reading all of your great papers, I wonder why it is important to keep a written journal instead of, or along with, a computer based journal?

  1. It is important to keep a written journal over a computer journal. First, it is better to have everything you do written step by step on paper. Also you should have a written journal so you can draw a diagram of you model. Finally, you shouldn't have a computer journal in case the computer crashes. It is always better to have something hand written than on a computer.

  2. It is important to keep a written journal instead of a typed computer journal because anyone can write in a laptop but your own writing would make it authentic and is proof that it is yours. Also, if you write in a computer and the power goes out or your computer freezes, it will not always save. But if you write in a note book and the power does go out, there is less chance your work would be lost and you can access it pretty much when ever you want. It would be an extra benefit to have both!

  3. It is important to keep a written journal instead of a typed journal. If you are keeping a computer journal, you can't always make diagrams or measure things. Also, a computer can crash or freeze. It is less likely that you will lose your work if you handwrite a journal. Journals are also more portable. You can take them anywhere and write in them anywhere. You can only use a computer if there is a computer, and it isn't as portable.
